Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) selected Iron Mountain Digital as the designated technology escrow agent for its Registrar Data Escrow (RDE) program to protect registrants by storing and safeguarding a backup copy of domain name registration data in escrow. ICANN, through its existing fee structure, is covering the costs of the RDE program for ICANN-accredited registrars that use Iron Mountain Digital’s escrow service.

Under the Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) with ICANN, registrars must regularly deposit a backup copy of your gTLD registration data with ICANN. You may choose to use Iron Mountain Digital’s escrow services to meet this requirement at no additional charge.
