Getting Around the Shelving Challenge

xepaIron Mountain Film & Sound in Hollywood has just installed several new "state of the art" vertical carousel systems. Each carousel is approximately 35 feet high and houses 90 trays, maximizing the use of overhead space and recovering up to 75% of the floor space required for traditional shelving systems. In fact, these carousels save approximately 10,000 square feet per unit. Compared to regular shelving, they increase productivity and capacity, and at the same time integrate barcode scanning and pick-to-light technology for increased throughput and accuracy levels. Seeing these big guys at work is really somewhat awe-inspiring.

Iron Mountain Film & Sound is continually looking for new and better ways to serve our clients, and these carousels fill the bill. Action orientation, integrity, and constantly improving security, to name just a few of our core values, are literally designed into each unit. These new carousels will clearly enable us to better serve our clients and fulfill our mission: Preserving the past… Protecting the future.
